Enter the world of magic castles with your friends and fight orcs, goblins, and other mythical creatures to protect your tower. Use customized weapons and play with customized characters. You can download Dungeon Defenders for Microsoft Windows, Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, iOS, Mac OS X, Linux, and Android.
There are many locations available at many levels. They look dark and medieval with simple details. You can design your own unique character and also your weapons. The characters are little bulky and edgy, same for your enemies. Animation and battle effects are typical - nothing you haven’t seen in this kind of games. The colors are dark and not saturated enough. The things you collect from chests and enemies’ deaths are also nothing special to look at, they’re just shapes - squares, diamonds, etc.
It’s an online action RPG with up to 4 players mode. There are 4 classes of heroes you can play: Wizard who can shoot at enemies and create magic destroying fields, Fighter for a close attack, Munk for creating auras and Hunter for range damage.
In every level, you have five waves of enemies with a giant foe to kill in the final wave. In the time between them, you can put protective towers and armor to help your battle. You build them with mana crystals that you get from killing your enemies and from chests spread out on the location. The goal is to protect special giant Crystals from destroying by ogres, wyverns and what not. When you fight you gain experience and can upgrade your character's skills and weapons. You can do that even during the fight.
You have to be fast in order to effectively fight your opponents - it’s not easy to quickly choose the skills and powers you need during the fight if you play from your phone.
Your character has health, magic power, Hero properties, Abilities, Towers and Resistance which you can find on the right side of the screen if you click the bottom right diamond button. Your inventory will appear on the right. There you can see things you got from a fight, and you can sell stuff here if you don’t need them.
Replay Value: 5
There are many modes available including survival one so you can really find any kind of genre you prefer in this game. If you’re a beginner in this game you should listen to more experienced players otherwise you all can lose. There are definitely things you can come back to in this game - many levels to explore and many creatures to kill.
You can tell from this Dungeon Defenders review that even though this game has so-so average graphics, it’s still a great and well-done game. Better to play with friends and fight against the common enemy. When you play along with your friends, the collected during the battle items turn to money and spread evenly amongst all of you. You can also have a pet here which will help you during the battle - how cute is that?
If you’re a fan of tower protective games you’ll probably download Dungeon Defenders and will be pleased with your gaming experience.
Pros : A lot of levels;
Hard enough gameplay.
Cons : Not too interesting as a single player;
Replay Value 5.0
