Friday the 13th: The Game is a survival horror game based on the movie series, Friday the 13th. There is a central character, Jason Voorhees, and seven other characters known as Camp Counselors.
When you get the dual dose of horror and supreme graphics, you can expect enhanced user engagement. Set in the era of 1980s, when the movie was released, you can see similar surroundings in the game.
The developers have ensured that they develop dark and eerie surroundings to impart a sense of fear and desolation. When you are running into the woods or searching for the resources inside the camps, you can experience the superior work of graphics.
Friday the 13th: The Game is a semi-open world game incorporating third-person perspective. There are a total of eight players in the game wherein one will be the assassin and others will be survivors. Thus, it makes Friday the 13th: The Game an asymmetrical multiplayer video game. One player gets to play the character of Jason Voorhees whose sole objective is to kill all the counselors in the camps. The camps have been set up in the vicinity of a fictional lake, Crystal Lake.
The character of Jason holds special abilities that allow him to track counselors with ease. For example, he can sense whether the counselors are in the vicinity or not. Further, he teleports himself anywhere on the game map. This gives the advantage to track the enemies with ease. On the other hand, the counselors have numerous options to escape from the clutches of Jason. If they operate in teams, they can repair the car, repair the phone box and call 911, and so on.
The controls of the game are pretty simple to understand. From the third-person perspective, you just need to run in a specified direction to escape from the brutal Jason. Smoother movements and transitions aid in enhanced user activity.
Further, in order to procure an object in the game, you just need to tap and hold. The instructions will be displayed on the screen. If you are still not sure, you can communicate with other players and learn about the tactics.
Replay Value: 4.5
If you like to indulge in horror flicks, you will definitely love playing the characters in Friday the 13th: The Game. As you get the opportunity to play both Jason and the counselors, there are minimal chances that you will get bored. Hence, you can expect high replay value in the game.
